La confidentialité, nécessaire à l’instauration d’un climat de confiance entre le professionnel de santé et le patient, est une notion très ancienne puisque, dès le IVe siècle, l’obligation est faite aux médecins de taire les informations relatives à leurs patients. Qu’en est-il aujourd’hui dans le monde ? Les États partagent-ils tous cette notion ? Indeed, the medical relationship between a patient and their medical practitioner is based on trust. This duty of trust dates from the Ancient world, when Hippocrates, in the 4th century before Christ, set this ethical rule. One may then wonder : do all the States have a common vision of medical confidentiality ?
