Résumé1

Abstract
Advances in technology allow individuals to make changes to their bodies, whether on their own or through external intervention, medical or otherwise, that may be more or less invasive, permanent or temporary, extensive or localized. The law addresses the phenomenon of bodily transformations through
regulations that appear scattered. The legal classification of the various acts of bodily modification highlights a legal framework that emphasizes formalized consent and enhanced disclosure, and helps
identify the founding principles of a harmonized law governing bodily transformations.
