Abstract
The body, together with the mind, is what makes us humans. But that body is not indestructible, worse, it is fragile. Hence the medical care needed that inevitably involve a physical manipulation of the patient’s bodies. Medical act can alter the body and risks are real, but even before that it is important to know wether or not the patient consent to the manipulation of his body. Consent to medical care and act is absolutely crucial and universally recognized, both ethically and under the law.
