La blockchain (BC), technologie de gestion décentralisée des informations d’abord appliquée au secteur financier, offre de multiples perspectives en matière de santé tout en permettant de renforcer la sécurité

de ces données sensibles. Certaines de ces perspectives se matérialisent désormais par des progrès réels, notamment en matière de transparence et de traçabilité, tandis que d’autres promesses restent encore à l’état de projets, du fait des freins encore tangibles qui retardent sa généralisation.

Cet outil éminemment technique doit encore trouver sa place dans un contexte réglementaire et économique particulièrement complexe dans le secteur de la santé et qui s’intéresse à la protection des

données.

Abstract

Blockchain (BC), a decentralised information management technology first applied to the financial sector, offers a host of prospects for healthcare, while strengthening the security of this sensitive data. Some of these prospects are now materialising in real progress, particularly in terms of transparency and traceability, while other promises are still at the stage of projects, due to the still tangible obstacles that are delaying its generalisation.

This eminently technical tool must therefore still find its place in a particularly complex regulatory and economic context in the health sector and which is particularly interested in data protection.
